The times we included kids at our DC-area GTGs was when we held them at someone's house (and there was space for them to entertain themselves/each other while the grownups yacked and looked at pictures, etc.) Those affairs were also more like pot-lucks so that there was certain to be food even for picky pre-teens It's a bit more relaxed when you don't have to worry about kids in a restaurant (been-there-done-that!)

I hear ya and understand completely. I cannot take the hotel babysitter route, but I may be able to make other arrangements. Keep me in the loop!

Reneeinva, maybe sometime in the future we can plan something like a picnic get-together in a park somewhere, and people would be free to bring kids in that case. So glad you are going to try to make it ... please see my thread just posted today ... Official Notice: North Carolina GTG
