It's not my things, but many girls of her age love, love, love the American Girl store (dolls). We had a friend and her 10 year-old daughter visit us a few years ago, and the daughter insisted that they go to the American Girl store on 5 of the 7 days they were in the city. You need reservations in advance for experiences like tea, hair styling etc.

Museum of Natural History - ALL kids love it
Central Park - small zoo, gardens, boat n the lake
Staten Island ferry (free and fun, great views)
Top of the Rock for great views of the city

What special interests does she have? NYC has something for everyone - tell us what she loves.

'Eloise Tea' at the Plaza after the American Girl store might be a hit. Check the hours before you head out; there might be some changes on Easter Sunday.
