Few places, if any, can beat Rock Center at Thanksgiving. Try the Sea Grill or the Rock Center Cafe. They start serving early afternoon. Both are located right at skating rink level, with large windows. You have the tree above you, ice skaters swirling around and a great feeling. Both places are frequented by locals and tourists alike, especially on holidays. Sea Grill is more upscale and will, of course, have a traditional turkey dinner. They also have great chowder. RCCafe is more casual and will also have a set turkey meal. Both places will be packed and you will need reservations asap. We are NYers and have gone ourselves and we've sent others; no one has been disappointed. Way better than a mere room and a turkey plate. Have fun. The City is already packed this time of year.

Rosie O'Grady's is mostly a tourist place. There are dozens of better options. If you want to stay in midtown west, look at Le Madeleine. Cibo is a good option in midtown east. Otherwise, consider going downtown. There are lots of good inexpensive options in the village.
