Dinner - you should go to dbbistro modern, Daniel Boulud's casual theater district restaurant. Very, lively room, fabulous food. Last seating appears to be 11:00 (from Opentable.com). 44th and 5th-6th.

Town, Oceana, and Vong (a Jean George Vongerichten restaurant, asian fusion) also appear to have openings at 10:30.

Call the Daily Show ticket number (which is posted at the end of each show). We went a couple of years ago, and had no trouble getting tickets. Of course, this was before Jon Stewart had ascended to the throne of the King of Political Commentary, so it may be tougher now to get in.

Make sure you get there about an hour in advance, though. A ticket does not guarantee that you'll get in, if you dno't get to the studio at the proper time.
