Commanders Palace my fav for food

Yelp.com opentable.com for honest food reviews

Tripadvertizer careful many fake reviews scammers these days

Since it has become a for profit site they are trying to take public

I've never been to NO over Christmas, but it's possible hotels have minimum stays...you might want to check into that.

I've also never stayed at the Monteleone, but have friends who rave about it...especially during the Christmas season.

Our personal favorite is the Royal Sonesta, but you won't want a room overlooking Bourbon Street unless you plan on being up until the wee hours. The rooms overlooking the pool are very nice and very quiet.

Commander's Palace's Sunday jazz brunch is our favorite meal and has been for many years.

I also love K-Pauls and Acme Oyster.

NO is a food lover's paradise! There are so many place I love to eat I'll let others make suggestions!

Brennan's for a great,but pricy breakfast
The Gumbo Shop in the FQ for lunch and great gumbo
Camalia Grill, also breakfast but more of a locals place and less expensive, very good nonetheless.
Bourbon House for simple fresh oyster lunch and Bourbon Ice Milk.
If you have the right connections, the Foundation Room at House of Blues.

Enjoyed the Funky Pirate on Bourbon Street for drinks and jazz.
