NEW LITTLE GEMS ON MAUI?

Still working on next Aug. honeymoon and I have read about one million reviews on rentals, but was wondering if anyone has come across a great cottage or house in Maui that may not have been mentioned. We definitely want to be in the least busy area, but not hours away from the airport. I would hope we could find one for $300 or less a day. We would like spectacular views of the water from the house on an easily accessible beach that is swimmable. I realize I am expectin a lot, but this is our first and last honeymoon Just checking if you've found something new.

Are you set on Maui? Having just visited there and Big Island last week, I think that BI is much more serene and private and would be perfect for a honeymoon.

Check out http://www.jacarandainn.com/

it is beautiful there and would be ideal.

Maui in August is going to be full of kids. Not what I'd want, just MHO.

Hope this helps...

A beautiful peaceful area in Maui that is low on kids and traffic is the Kapalua area. The Ritz Carlton there is fabulous as are the Kapalua resort condos.

My favorite spot would be the Napili Kai resort on Napili Bay, in a studio on the very end of the point. I like the studios because the bed is closest to the water, and we love to sleep to the sound of the ocean. Very private and romantic, with a great swimming beach----and walking distance to Kapalua Bay for snorkeling.
