My wife, baby, and I will be using a cab to get from the airport to the hotel and back. This will be the 1st time any of us have taken a cab. Does the $25-35 price cover all of us or is that per person?

Well it depends on where the hotel is in relation to the airport. Prices are not usually quoted as round trip.

There is not a flat fee coming from the airport, they use a meter. You will see it in the front seat, showing the amount the ride costs as you go along. There is also a $1-2 'airport fee' that is in addition to what the meter shows that the driver will ask for, so don't be surprised. That's legitimate.

Usually the price of a cab ride is per ride, not per person. It may be a flat rate or per meter (by mile). In US a tip is expected.

If you take a shuttle, the price is per person. Don't know if they charge for babies. Children get a discount.

I usually give a few extra dollars. Say if the ride is $32, I'll round up to $35... or $27 up to $30, like that.

You are wise to take a taxi.

The fare on the meter is for the three of you and, as others have suggested, your driver will appreciate a tip.

However, if you need the money as much as (or more than) the driver, you are not required to pay more than the meter fare (plus any possible supplements explained on signs located within the taxi).

Using taxis while traveling eliminates a lot of stress and is, therefore, a very wise investment.
