Need restaurant recommendations in Atlanta near airport

My husband and I will be arriving at the Atlanta airport and would like to have dinner before we continue on our journey to South Carolina.

Are there any good barbecue or southern style restaurants near the airport? Thank you!

One of my past favorites was BBQ Kitchen on Virginia Ave.

Another resturant on Virginia Ave is Michons. All of the BBQ is smoked. We go for lunch when I'm on that side of town and love it. Laid back atmosphere with live jazz...on occasion

There is a Southern style cafeteria IN the airport. I think it is an Atlanta chain. I think it's very good and I usually try to eat there when I'm at the airport (unless the smell of Popeye's grabs me first).

Paschal's is good 'ole Southern cooking in the airport served buffet style in the food court of Terminal A or the atrium in the ticketing/ baggage claim building. Great Southern cooking and VERY sweet tea - the wine of the south!
