Hi All:

Going to a show in August near Bouckville off of Rt. 20 Looking for any nice hotels (not BnB) that someone could recommend! Anywhere between Albany and Bouckville would be fine! Need clean and inexpensive!

Hi John,
Don't know if you are aware but Albany is about 2 hours from Bouckville. You might want to check the Utica/New Hartford and Oneida area.Hamilton is building a Super 8 right now but it will not be ready in time for the show. There is a small motel in Sherburne, NY called Sherburne Motel that we have used for family several years ago and it was fine and not expensive. I know it books up fast when there is a big event like the antique show. It's about 10 miles south of Bouckville on route 12.Have fun at the show. My husband always goes. It certainly is an experience! Good luck with finding accommodations.

Thanks Katybird!
I usually drive up for the day from New Jersey! I go via rt 23 thru Stamford to Oneonta and on up the local roads. I came home last time via Rt 20 to Albany and it did not seem that far!!

I will try the Sherburne, thanks!

Hey Incognito: Thank you for that tip but I was looking more for a personal reference!

I will be going to the Bouckville show too. New Hartford is a suburb of Utica and is not too far from RT 20.The Holiday Inn is very nice but not cheap.

John are you looking for a place to stay Sat night so you can go to the show for 2 days or are you looking for a stopping place on the way to or home from there? If you just want a stopping place on the way home, staying near Albany is not a bad idea.

If you want to stay near the show, if you're taking the NYS thruway, the directions say to exit at 32. There are some Inns in and near Clinton, NY (don't know if you consider an inn the same as a b&b)like this one

Another option is 20 miles north of the show in Verona is a Casino and golf resort

If you'd consider Oneonta there are a few chains like Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn there because of the state U. What are you defining as inexpensive?

Hi All:

Thanks for the feedback!

I am looking to do Friday Night hotel and show on Friday and Saturday So I guess somewhere near the show so I do not have to drive that far to get back on Saturday!

What is a cheap rate? Well I guess around $80/Night?

I figue I am up in the Hills of NY State so I was hoping for Bargains!!

Thanks
JOHN
