No doubt about it...Little Palm Isalnd is the best if you are looking for R&R. If budget isn't a factor, go for it. Personally, 2-4 days are long enough.

re Grove Isle. We looked into it, but there are some troubling posts at Trip Advisor...all having to do with service. Good rooms, location, but lousy service = bad time, I think.

This is not the beach at all, but consider Twin Farms in Vermont. Quite a complete getaway with privacy, luxury, outstanding food, pampering, vast outdoors with good guides for all kinds of sports, and terrific "faro" for au naturel soaking.
