Need help with KEY WEST dog-friendly accommocations

I'm re-typing this because I neglected to put "Key West" into my original post

Thanks to all who replied to my post last week on whether or not I should bring my toy poodle along with us. We've decided to bring her, after all. Some of the pet-friendly places I'm looking at are:

Casa Alente (S. Roosevelt Blvd.)
Center Court (Center Street)
Travelers Palm B&B (Center Street)
Frances Street Bottle Inn (Frances St.)
Red Rooster Inn (Truman Ave.)

Has anyone had any experience with these? Haven't been to Key West before, so I'm not too sure of exact locations. I'd be interested in hearing any other suggestions, also.

Thanks a lot -- you input is really appreciated!

Sorry to say I have no personal experience with any of these, but I'd eliminate Casa Alente and Red Rooster Inn based solely on location. South Roosevelt is a really busy thoroughfare and so is Truman Avenue.

If the Center Court is the same as Center Court Cottages I've heard really nice things about it. Seems to me there have been questions asked here before about Travelers Palm and Frances Street Bottle Inn, but I can't remember the responses. You might try doing a back check to get more reliable information.

I was recently browsing dogfriendly.com and noticed that Ambrosia House was listed as dog friendly.

PatC: I just wanted to let you know that I passed Ambrosia House several times and saw many happy lil'doggies and their owners I would want to bring one of my little pugs if not for this heat that they would not do well in.

you've already booked, but i would have suggested The Grand Guest House because when i stayed there a couple of years ago the owners had charming mini schnauzers.

Thanks for the additional replies. I feel better about staying at Ambrosia with my dog and will also check out The Grand Guesthouse while I'm there.

You will definitely feel at home at Ambrosia with your poodle! The owner, Kate, has a Cairn terrier who follows her around. The chief maintenance person (sorry, I just can't remember her name) also has a small dog who comes to visit whenever she does. But I hope your pooch doesn't get too excited around cats . . . they're everywhere, especially at breakfast.
