Need help for good cafes and restaurants in / nearby Novi

I will be going to Michigan for the first time and staying in Novi. I enjoy a good latte and pastry first thing in the morning, however I can't find any reviews for cafes in that city. So I would appreciate any suggestions for a good local place in or near-by Novi.

Also, I would appreciate any suggestions for restaurants that serve good chicken / fish dishes during lunch and dinner in a casual setting.

Thank you so much.

Novi is basically a suburb with tons of retail. There is a nice little, new downtown area that has several different restaurants and bars. There is a Pamida Bread. What hotel are you staying at?

Novi is a giant mall basically.

If you have a car and time, hit Ann Arbor for dinner. It isn't too far and any restaurant on Main Street will be wonderful. Prickly Pear has amazing southwestern food. Their shrimp and scallop quesadillas are wonderful. The Real Seafood Company across the street would have great seafood. You can also pick up your pastrys for the next morning.

You might want to try The Bamboo Club, an Asian restaurant with a cool vibe and decent food. It's at the Fountain Walk Mall.

Thank you so much for the suggestions.

We will be staying at the Sheraton Novi, but living in California I am used to driving and traffic Snow, on the other hand would really limit my desire to explore.

Ann Arbor is only 30 miles of highway, and in Michigan that means only 30 minutes. I know in California, 2 miles on the freeway can mean 30 minutes! And it looks like it is warming up, so no snow. We don't have any right now.

If you have some free time to see Ann Arbor, you can take a Michigan campus walking tour:

You can walk through the football stadium:

Do some shopping on Main Street, have a great dinner, and check out a concert:

Here is a list of restaurants and happenings in metro Detroit:

Welcome to Michigan!

kelliebellie thank you for those links. I just used the metro times and found some coffee cafes and breakfast spots. I was really surprised and excited to see how many places have vegetarian dishes in MI. One place for breakfast I thought I would try is The Chocolate Gallery Cafe in Warren, and another day try Cafe Zola in Ann Arbor.

Thx again.
