Need a recommended B&B near the Plaza
With two days in Santa Fe on our schedule, we have a lot of sightseeing to do. My husband has a slight disability so we want to be in the center of things rather than spending our limited walking energy getting to it. I hope that made sense.
A B&B is not necessary if a recommended hotel would be better. We want to capture the Southwest environment and, of course, spend as little as necessary.
Any help would be appreciated.
Marsha

When we were in Santa Fe we stayed at the Inn of the Governors-it is not a B&B, but it does include a wonderful breakfast. You can walk to the Plaza from the Inn and there is also a restaurant on site. If we ever return to Santa Fe we would stay there again.

I guess a hundred to one and a quarter per night.
If that is not possible, I'd have to pay more to be in the right location. But if I went to $150 that might be stretching the budget.
Am I in the ballpark?

It's hard to go wrong with Hacienda Nicholas or The Madeleine Inn. Very different in feel (Hacienda is in a beautiful old adobe; Madeleine is in a Queen Anne's Victorian) but they are run by a real pro who is a committed "Green" innkeeper (incredible bath products, gorgeous organic linens etc) whose staff cooks delectable full breakfasts and all sorts of amazing goodies to snack on throughout the day. Great location and very good prices.

If you want two blocks to the center of the Plaza (and pet friendly) then there is the Chapelle Street Casita's (http://www.casitas.net/)
