Naples St. Patrick's Day parade

Does anyone know what date the Naples St. Patrick's Day parade will be on this year? It is usually on a Saturday and March 17th is on a Wednesday this year. We will be invitiing friends down from Boston and we are trying to pick the weekend of the parade. Thanks,
Priscilla

When was Patrick sainted?
Patrick? Do you have something to tell us?

Fodor's humor aside, the date is Saturday 3/20/2004.

Here's the Naples website calendar:

Yes, Ted has beat me to it. Funny this came up because we just started planning our Naples Players float for the parade this week, passing on doing a float for the Christmas parade as everyone is too busy right now.

Yes the Parade is on Saturday, March 20. Actually I haven't been sainted "yet". LOL. Growing up it was always easy for me to remember the date of St. Patrick's Day since my birthday is also on the 17th, but July, not March!

Priscilla, are you serious about inviting people to Naples from Boston for the parade? Have you seen it? Hope you don't have your hopes up too high. It's not exactly a parade to rival Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!

Hi Patrick, My company will be coming that week, not just for the parade. We have a group of friends in Florida that go to the parade each year and our company looks forward to joining them because we all know each other. And yes, I went to the parade last year. It was such a hot day..........You are right, Macy's parade it is not, but you know us Boston Irish..........we must celebrate March 17th. Interesting about your birthday, I had a daughter on March 17th and she had a daughter on July 17th this year.

Gee, Priscilla, if you were there last year, I hope you're not one of the people I hit throwing a hard candy from the float. We decided that was a very unsafe practice.
