Nags Head Outer Banks Favorite Hotel / Motel?

Looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel for a few days this summer.(We don't need fancy!) We usually rent a house in Nags Head, but we can't stay as long this summer.
Please let me know your favorite little motel/hotel.
Thanks so much!

We stayed at the Surfside Hotel last August. Our room was clean, and we had a nice little balcony with a view of the ocean. They also offer a free breakfast - cereal, oatmeal, bagels, french toast sticks, etc. It's not fancy, but we would stay there again. Good luck!

Thanks Jill!
I just called them-it sounds like a nice place. Going in peak season is so much $$$! (It doesnt' help that we need 2 rooms!) 4 nights would cost us $1232!(plus tax!)
We'll have to look a tad cheaper--thanks for your help!
LOVE the outer banks,
Tammy

For the amount of money a hotel costs in peak season, you can rent a house. You will have room to spread out and have all the comforts of home. If you choose a house between the roads or on the sound side, you can save money. If you want oceanside or oceanfront, plan to spend a lot of money.
If you contact the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce or the Outer Banks Visitors Center, you can get lists of hotels and realty companies and compare the rates.
