N. Cal hot springs/baths?
We are going to head south along 101 in early April, and would like to find a relatively inexpensive dunking place. No mud, no massage, no overnight...just soak for awhile. Best thing I have found while Googling is in Arcata. Any comments, suggestions, reviews?

>>>would like to find a relatively inexpensive place<<<
Osmosis is expensive and offers no hot springs. One "soaks" for about 15 minutes in an enzyme bath of cedar shavings. It is really relaxing, however.
Vichy Springs is a good pick. Another idea is Wilbur Hot Springs. You would turn of 101
on 20, head east to Wilbur. When you have finished your soak you would continue
down to Fairfied and 80 through the Napa Valley on 29. Another place is Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown.
Also, some locals in Calistoga offer
day use. You might try Indian Springs
(fabulous pool!)
