Myrtle Beach Hotel Ideas for April
We are going to take our kids (ages 10 and 12) to Myrtle Beach for 4 days in April and want to stay in a hotel on the ocean with a heated/indoor pool and/or lazy river (I assume it will be too cold for the ocean or a non-heated pool). We want to be near the action, even if it is a bit tacky. The kids like mini golf, amusements, etc. We like fun restaurants and places to have a few beers.
Any ideas for a clean hotel that meets our criteria? Any ideas for fun things to do while we are there?
Thanks!
Dave

Several years ago we stayed in a condo in the northern part of myrtle beach, near the border of NORTH myrtle beach...thru Chicora Realty. After driving around the area, we definitely preferred the northern area....its close to restaurant row, barefoot landing (shopping area).
Also spent one night at the caravelle, which had a fun lazy river ride plus a few pools, one indoor.
MB is especially fun for kids with more mini-golf etc than i've ever seen....
Have fun!

Thanks for the responses. I thing Kingston is going to be too expensive for us on this trip, but Caravelle looks nice. I also found a place called Breakers. Seems to be right in the action and it has an indoor pool. Anyone been there? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
David

We are also taking our kids (12 & 9) to Myrtle Beach during the Easter break. We got a magazine type book from Myrtle Beach and they have tons of places to stay you just don't know which one to pick. So I am hoping someone has stayed and can recommend a nice clean place. Also I have found you have to stay 3 nights the weekend of Good Friday at some resorts. We are basically looking for the same things. My son also likes to skateboard and surf.
Also looking into driving to Charleston and spending 2 days if anyone has any places to stay in that area.
We are driving from New Jersey (we are located all the way at the bottom) I have been told it should take about 10 hours anybody know if that is about right? Thanks for any info.
