Must Restaurants for quick Trip to MAINE

Will be spending 2 nights in Camden and 2 nights in Kennebunkport--what are some restaurant recommendations? We don't mind splurging one night for some awesome meal with a great view but otherwise, looking for great lobster and Maine atmosphere (casual). We are coming from NYC. For the splurge night I am thinking either Cape Arundel or White Barn. Any other thoughts on those 2 and also the more casual end? Thanks much!

Village Restaurant in downtown Camden, and the Lobster Pound in Lincolnville are two great places for casual.

White Barn would be way too formal & pricey for me.

For casual in Kennebunkport...check out Nunan's (for lobster) in the Cape Porpoise section of town.

Though we live in CA, we have been to the White Barn Inn for dinner, 14 times.
It is absolutely our favorite. No ocean view, but they have a huge picture window they fill with colorful, seasonal flowers, and old farm furnishings, to make a casusal atmosphere in an elegant setting with white tablecloths and candles. I love their lobster dinner. It's a real treat!

Also like Allison's in Kennebunkport for lobster where they bring the whole thing in front of you and a bib.

Our favorite place for casual lobster is Waterman's Beach. Drive past the Owl's Head Transportation Museum and look for signs. They'll just be a small arrow with the name. Wear a hat and sunglasses because you'll want a picnic table overlook the water. It's a lovely cove with no other commercial activity around. This is just a tiny place. Lobster, steamers, pie and not much else on the menu. You'll get a bag of chips and a roll with your lobster. Also, for Camden I recommend a picnic lunch on top of Mt Battie overlooking Camden Harbor. Take the auto road. Bring bag chairs and binoculars.
