Biker week is in Myrtle Beach. DO a search on google. There is "Black Biker" week. Then there is just a biker week. You are either going to be there for one or fall in the middle of both.

Try to stay away from Myrtle Beach and stay in MI, Pawleys, Georgetown and even drive the 1.15 to Charleston.

I checked both Google & The MB Visitor's Center and there are no biker events shown on Labor Day.

Does anyone know if this information is correct?

The bikers are here now through Memorial weekend. Over 300,000, a sight to see! There won't be any over Labor Day. Only us locals who ride. Next bike rally is in October. It's actually a great time to be here as most of the tourists are gone, rates are lower for hotels, etc.
Have a great time.

As others have said, the Biker weeks are in May, not Labor Day. Murrell's Inlet is just a little town of exceptionally good seafood restaurants. Are you staying in that town? Anyway, it will be fine. The crowds will be leaving on Monday so you might meet traffic going the other way. If you are coming from the Conway direction, you might want to take the cut off road--544--down to MI.

You'll be fine. September through November is the absolute best time to be here. It will still be hot, but the Summer crowds will mostly be gone.

Enjoy!

Thank you for your replies! What a great help this site is.
We will be staying in MI, as we have friends there.
May have more questions later as our plans evolve.

You'll enjoy going just down the road to Brookgreen Gardens or Huntington Beach State Park. Lots and lots of good food to be had in MI and down the road in Pawley's Island. It really IS the prettiest time of year on the SE coast. We will finally get back into our Litchfield condo after a year of building repairs. Looking forward to it mightily.
