Motel Hotel in Buena Vista in Sept

Howdy,

I am looking for a motel or hotel in BV during the week in Sept.
I usually stay in Leadville and thought I would spend some time in BV this year.

This will be for two couples.

You can toss in a few ideas of places to eat also if you like.

Thank you,
SandBilly

Buena Vista, if you have never been there, is very small. Not many motels available. Lots more in adjoining Salida, a nice, friendly ranch town. I would check Tripadvisor.com for motel suggestions. The Arkansas River runs through both. Both towns have outstanding views of the Collegiate Peaks.

Enjoy, cowboy.

We stayed at the Mt Princeton hot springs resort in May--nice place, spectacular scenery. It is south of Buena Vista

Yes, thanks for posting the link to the mt Princeton resort. We stayed in one of the Cliffside rooms which was very comfortable and had great views but was not all that convenient to the lodge/restaurant and hot springs. The cabins looked nice from the outside. It really is a beautiful spot and the hot springs are fun.

I think Buena Vista is one of Colorado's most charming small towns. I wouldn't hesitate in staying there. Try these options:

Thunder Lodge www.thunderlodge.com

Mountain View www.bvmountainviewmotel.com

Best Western

Thank you for the replies,
I have been to BV many times, and stayed in a few of the older motels there years ago. They have some rather nice newer motels, but they do not interest me. I will spend a little more time there this year. Thanks history for those suggestions. I have not noticed these before. That is what I was looking for.
