Monte Carlo--mistake??

My DH and I are going to be in LV for a mere 48 hours. We've been there several times but not recently. Booked our room at the Monte Carlo (never stayed there) and am REALLY concerned about the construction noise. Should I cancel and stay somewhere else????

IMO I'd stay somewhere else - between the noise from the construction and the traffic because of it that section of the strip is pretty miserable these days.

It would be better to face away from the Strip, if that is possible. That's what I asked for, but the unaccommodating clerk who checked me in ignored my request.

The noise isn't the kind that will keep you awake all night. The main problem is that the huge construction site and deleted crosswalk across Las Vegas Boulevard makes it a struggle to get to other mid-Strip casinos and hotels. (One has to walk a mile to get to Walgreen's, which is directly across the Boulevard from Monte Carlo.)
