Yeah, really bad news for Moloka'i. 120 people losing their jobs..with a population of 2700 it would be the equivalent of 14,000 layoffs on Oahu. Besides the layoffs, the company is closing access to farming and fishing lands they own. All because the citizens of Moloka'i didn't go along with the Moloka'i Ranch's development plans.
Bad news indeed!

I wonder if this is going to make the commission change their mind on the development of the land?

It will have a HUGE impact on the island.

It must have been very sudden too. I booked four nights there for May just a few weeks ago (then we cancelled), but no one said a thing, and, obviously, they took the booking.

They were very nice people. I hope they can find new work.

Sad news. Looks like the gloves are off and the long fight will continue.
