minneapolis weather/snow?

Hi! I'm flying into Minneapolis and working out of St Paul for the first time ever this week. I've checked the weather (brrrrrr!) but can't find out how much snow, if any, is on the ground. Thanks for any info!

We live in Minneapolis and there's probably about four or five inches of snow on the ground that's been here for a month now. But we haven't gotten any significant snowfall for several weeks, so the roads and sidewalks are pretty much clear except for some slippery ice patches.

thanks kelly - I normally don't see 4-5 inches of snow in a year, so I'm trying to pack sensibly!

Kelly is right about the amount of snow on the ground. However, snow depth doesn't much matter for packing unless you anticipate a need to get off the sidewalks or something. The temp is the main thing - pack according to that.

I agree that you need to dress for the temperatures. The snow will always be here in winter in Minnesota, but the temp can vary at times. Just dress warm!
