Let it snow, let it snow, . .

Had snow flurries off and on all day here in mid-Michigan. DS is at school in Houghton and the predictions are for 12 inches or more before the end of the week-end. Sure hope iceeu2 is headed south.

You have my deepest sympathies, lol!

Our temps are going to be tanking by the weekend, into the 30's. Talk of snow in upstate NY!

Yikes! I guess it's time for frost on those pumpkins!

We had some flurries today in Chicago as well. I didn't mind actually as I like snow, but it is a bit early.

It's officially going to be a mild/moderate El Niño winter... I forget what that portends for various places around the continent.

Suzie, a fellow Michigander here! I have never seen a more schizophrenic day, weather wise...one minute sunshine and blue skies, the next blustery and blizzardy, off and on, all day. What a glorious sky at sunset though! This is the earliest snow I can remember. Usually we get a dusting around Thanksgiving and a little more around Christmas. I really hate January through March. Go Tigers!

We've had cloudless days, temps in low 80s - 70s, with a comfortable breeze. Gotta love October in southern Louisiana. Cool front came through here overnight - it's actually kind of chilly outside. Yea!!! Our average first frost date is November 15.

Currently 31 degrees here in Central NJ. It finally became fall. Leaves turning and frost on the ground. As an original Michigander from north of Grand Rapids, you have my deepest sympathy. While you guys have gorgeous summers (my Mom lived on Beaver Island), the winters are too damn cold and snowy. Stay warm.

Temps were in the 70's yesterday here in central va and tonight will be in the low 30's!Ouch! It was chilly this morning.
Our HighSchool also has homecoming tonight and we were thinking about going to see the show! I went to catholic high and we didn't have this stuff. DD will be at this school next year, so I said let's all go! Now, I think I may want to sit home by the fire!

Got a phone call that there was 3 inches of snow on my deck at 3pm. Got another phone call this morning that it is all gone already.

And last weekend there in MI was glorious. I'm on the same page at Vittrad. Love it. Just don't like to drive in feet of it, but love MI snow and skiing, snowmobile sports, which in the last two years have almost been nil. After Thanksgiving though, because the pier is still in.

We had big flaky in Chicagoland yesterday as well, but it did not stick, and it should be much warmer by Sunday.

I was just at Comerica and am cheering you guys on. motor city girl- raise a JD for me, regardless of today's outcome. See my prediction of last week- I said Tigers in 6. Now I am hoping it is Tigers in 5. And Tigers to win the Series too. No big heads and they are on a roll.

Who's your TIGER! GRRRRRRR

And I went to Catholic school and we always had homecoming, same schools do, 40 years later. One year I went to 3 of them. Mine (All girls and no football, how sad- VOLLEYBALL), St. Rita (CHICAGO and we won city that year over the Public league champion), and Brother Rice (a date to appease bus mate/male friend). Ironically my daughter did the same thing. But at least they didn't play each other on that day.

And don't feel sorry for me for being in the snow in winter. I'm going NORTH to retire. You can take the heat & the bugs and enjoy them all winter long.

LoL, JJ5! Travel_addict has about convinced me to move up that way too. It is WAY too hot here most of the summer - and summer starts in May and goes through Sept.

Last weekend was awesome! Made the mistake of trying to take the kids to the cider mill...we are soooo original!

The snow for me is pretty to look at and I like it on Xmas but could live without otherwise. It gets so dirty quickly. What really gets me though is the COLD. Why does it have to be so *^^%&*ing COLD?!

Don't get me wrong, I like a cute sweater/jacket as much as the rest of you girls but I would rather have my tank top and flip flops any day.
