We just returned from Milwaukee. Woody went to swim, DS went to the Bead & Button Show, and I went in search of encased meats. All goals were achieved and we had a great time in this delightful and surprising city. Woody’s Great Lakes Challenge, Lake Michigan swim took place at Bradford Beach. He and I were the only ones in the water. I had to carry him out to water deep enough for him to swim and to break up the thin layer of ice on the water. He swam like a trooper, however reluctantly. As he exited the water, he never looked back. If looks could kill, he would have been an orphan. He ran from the water to the car as I chased him across the beach. He put on quite a show in the car and didn’t appreciate it that we were laughing. After a hot shower, a warm towel, and the hairdryer, he was white and dry, but no less angry. While he was tired, he still seemed to enjoy the Little League game at Miller Park’s Helfaer Field. Woody and I wish to thank all who contributed information about Milwaukee and/or offered support and encouragement.

I think you are very lucky Woody is not a biter. Hope you see the swimming hole thread, it has his name all over it.

Well, well, well, I did not imagine Buddy could be so resentful. I'm sure that he will forget and forgive soon. Thanks for the update.

Oops, sorry I called Woody "Buddy." I was thinking of my dog Daisy's best friend, an odd but friendly short-legged mutt.

Suki: He's not in a forgiving mood, so now you're on his list. He's been making vague references to moving in with his bunny friend who lives under the deck.
