miami beach

Hello,

I am looking for a hotel right on the beach in miami. I want to walk out of my hotel and go right on the beach. I would like a place I can rent jetskis when I'm there. Can anybody make any suggestions.

Thanks,
Bryan

I recommend the Sheraton Bal Harbor - directly on the beach in an upscale area on Miami. fantastic pools and tropical area. On south beach, The Loews hotel.

definitely the Casablanca in Miami Beach. It's a 5 minute cab ride to South Beach and has its own beach and pool. Each room as a kitchentte and balcony. Rates were $115 per night last summer and $8 per day for parking.

I stayed at Lowe's last year in South Beach. Great location on the beach, can rent padded lounges, umbrellas, etc. Don't know about jet skis, though.

In South Beach, any of the tall hotels on the sand on Collins would give you that beach access you crave. The Loews is a not-bad choice-- big property, popular with businesspeople. The Royal Palm (a Crowne Plaza property) has a somewhat less upper-class vibe, but is new and nice. The National is a lovely Deco property and not too expensive. The Delano is Hip and Happening (well, they seem to think so) but astronomically expensive.

Jetskis...? Don't remember seeing rentals, but they might have them. Bear in mind: this is open ocean, no breakwater that I recall seeing. One good wave and *splash* you're off the jetski, in the water. They may also restrict jetskis in areas with lots of swimmers (and this stretch of South Beach is very popular).

I remember seeing jetski rentals on the beach near 10th and Ocean.

Is the Casablanca in an area that's not in the middle of night clubs? Looking for an upscale boutique hotel close to good shops and restaurants but not in the middle of the craziness. Something more romantic!
Any input out there?
