Mezzanine seats at Neil Simon
My 13 year old daughter and I want to see Hairspray in June. Tickets are available for $100, Orchestra level, row E and also for$65 up in the Mezzanine, row T. Would the extra money be worth it or would we be satisfied sitting in the balcony? My daughter has never seen a Broadway show. We are also going to get tickets for Wicked. Which show would be the better one to "splurge" on if we had to choose. Don't know anything about the theaters and am hoping you all can advise!

Are both these seats in the center, or off to the side. I think I'd splurge for the Orchestra seats. Most seats in most theaters are decent unless they specify partial view (usually in the case when seats are far off to one side). Row T mezz is a bit far back, I think it would be a real thrill to be up close. The first couple if rows tend to be too close, but beyond that they can't be beat.

I've seen the show from Orchestra row 7 and Mezzanine row M. Enjoyed it both times and liked the different stage perspective from each. Your daughter will love it. I'd also splurge for orchestra but don't fret if mezzanine is all that's left. As has been stated, just be wary of "partial view."
