McCarran Airport , Las Vegas

We are soon to fly to Vegas and for the first time, will be using the remote hotel check-in there. Does anyone know if you can make specific requests such as a room with a view?

I don't see why not. They have access to the room availability lists.

I´ll piggyback on this message because of the subject line. This has nothing to do with the questions asked.

I flew out of McCarran with United on Sunday morning. It took over 90 minutes to get checked in, get my baggage tags, and get through security. Allow plenty of time at least at this airport.

I flew out of McCarran on a Monday around 830pm and breezed thru every stage of the process. No taxi line at the hotel. No line at the baggage check, nor the security Xrays. We were, admittedly, a little less than sharp after 8 days and forgot to get in the correct A, B, or C boarding line at the gate for our flight on Southwest.

Sundays are the WORST time to fly out of LAS. Fly out any other day, if possible.

3Sec,
We flew out Monday, too...but around 4:00pm.
VERY long line at security...and, of course, we got in the wrong one.

And, of course, we got stuck behind a person who just couldn't quite get it that he was supposed to take his lap top out of his case...
I think airports hire these special people to get in front of me when they see me coming!

I seemed to get replies more with regards to security. Unfortunately, we are departing on a Sunday, and we will take the advice and arrive early. Now, back to the remote check-in. How does this work?

We checked into the Flamingo at the airport, and we were assured that we had a refurbished room with a refrigerator for my husband's insulin. I had forgotten to ask for the AAA discount so we went to the main desk at the hotel when we arrived. We learned that our room was not refurbished nor did it have a refrigerator. So, my experience with the airport check in was not very good. We are going in Nov. and I will not check in at the airport.
