MAUI ZIPLINING
We're off as a big family vacationing in Maui for Christmas so we have 10 yr olds to adults wanting to zipline. I see on the internet that there are many companies - could anyone provide us with good references for ziplining - thank you.

I haven't zipped there, but have several other places. I would go with the one that has the most lines, longest, and fastest. I would imagine that all of them would have decent scenery there. BTW, the best one I've been on is Soaring Colorado.
Some companies don't allow you to use your own camera, as they want to sell you photos that they take. That really bothers me. That may or may not make a difference to you.
There are a lot of combo's available in Hawaii--maybe kayak trip, waterfall/swim etc. That may also make a difference. You can get a bit of an idea if you look at Tripadvisor. Also search it on youtube, if you want to see what they look like.

We went on the Piiholo (sp) zip line at the ranch last February. We are 2 mid-50 year olds. It was a blast and I would certainly do it again. We did the 5 zip line. My only concern was the weight of the pulleys although they may carry them if they're too heavy for the kids. They do say they are for 8 and up. We took 2 pinwheels (from the commercial) with us for the entire ride!!
We took our own cameras and alternated with another couple so we could get pictures of each other coming and going.

You should definitely try Maui Zipline Company in Waikapu . The location is on the Maui Tropical Plantation and it is so beautiful. Also their lines are side by side so you can zip next to your family members and take the most amazing pictures. My family and I loved it : )

We enjoyed our day at Maui Zipline in Kapalua.

They have two routes - the longer (more expensive) one seemed much better than the other. They include a lunch as part of the experience so take that into account when picking a time to go.
If you are staying in Kaanapali, this is very convenient. Very fun.
