No, but make sure to go to the volcano while you are in Maui. All the books tell you to go at sunrise, but that was too early for me. We went at sunset, took a picnic dinner, a bottle of wine and enjoyed the most beautiful views as the sun went down. Highlight of my trip in Hawaii!

If you're looking for a nice condo in Kihei, I'd recommend the Kihei Surfside. It is oceanfront and the condos are very nice.
We paid $140 for a 1 bed/1.5 bath, but you can get cheaper rates for a smaller condo. Here's the website where we booked: www.mauicondo.com
