Maui - Romantic Restaurants

Would appreciate your perspectives on most romanatic restaurants on Maui for a weeding anniversay dinner. Have had recos such as Pacific O's and Ferraros. Any insights based on personal experience would be appreciated.

Would recommend Sarrento's in Kihei. The great food is beaten only by the spectacular ocean views. Go during sunset and you won't be disappointed.

I know this place isn't exactly quiet, but Kimo's in Lahaina, if you get a table on the back deck at sunset, it is terrible romantic.

I had one of the most romatic dinners in my life at Gerard's at the Plantation Inn in Lahaina. It is wonderful French food and the atmosphere is old world France. It is amazing.

We enjoyed the romance of Humumu... beautiful overwater setting, and the lovely Hawaiian lady sang us a love song - and translated the words as she went. She gave us a great compliment, something about the love in our eyes, and it was so memorable. Of course, having a beautiful husband of 25 years helped too!

We were in Maui last October for our anniversary and found Ferraro's to be wonderfully romantic, with great food and a very interesting Italian wine list. The setting is lovely with Tiki torches and candles lighting the outdoor tables. Be sure to tell them that it's your anniversary and they will select a special table and may provide some complimentary champagne. Also, when you call for the reservation, ask if they have the "Strings at Sunset" duo playing. The live music creates just the right atomosphere. In fact, we liked the music so much that we bought 2 of their cds and listened to them all the way to Hana the next day.

Mama's is fun, but would recommend it for lunch as the best parts of the restaurant are the grounds and view which are not a factor after dark.

Happy Anniversary!

It has been quite a few years since I have been to Mauii, but, the Swan Court at the Hyatt on Kaanapali Beach was a very romantic dinner.I am guessing it is still there.

Roy's in Kihei? I know the Roy's in Kaanipali has excellent food, but I would NOT call it romantic. Is the one in Kihei different?

Sarneto's without a doubt--beautiful ocean right out the window, great food, great service.
Mama's used to be our favorite, but it has degenerated to a touristy type place that is obsenely overpriced ($150 for lunch for 4 with no liquor). And the service was terrible.

Another vote for Sarento's in Kihei. Book a beachside table an hour before sunset. Delicious food, excellent service - very romantic!

We loved Pacific'o on our Honeymoon - request a table outside next to the beach. The atmosphere and food is excellent. I have also dined at Swan Courst and that is very nice , too but indoors.

Mama's Fish House in Kuau is my recommendation. A bit pricey, but food is excellent, atmosphere is very tropical. We took our entire staff for our company Christmas dinner there. You will not be disappointed. (I have lived on Maui all my life.)
