Maui: Romantic Outside/Beach Massages

Does anyone know where is the best place to get a romantic outdoor/"beach side" massage for couples?

I heard about the 1 at the Four seasons, and does the Grand Wailea Spa offer it?

Any advise would be appreicated...

I know they do them at the Hyatt Regency on Kaanapali.

Most of the hotels offer it.
Depends if you want to hear herds of tourists padding by!

I found a place called Luana spa retreat in Hana, but haven't checked into it yet? Has anyone else heard of it?

This is just my opinion, but I would think twice about shelling out the cash for this kind of thing. The idea of it is nice, but like someone else mentioned, people will be walking by on the beach, kids will be playing nearby making noise...it probably won't be as romantic as you're imagining. I guess if you are really set on it, do it first thing in the morning (like 7:00 a.m.) so there will be less people out and about. Just my two cents!

Bad experiences with Luana. And the place is a dump. I took a picture of it last week when I was there and should probably post it somewhere. There has been a bulldozer parked in the front since last October and the property looks like it has not been cleaned up in ages. Lot's of mud in the driveway, blown down branches, etc. I had an appointment there for an early morning massage last fall, but when I arrived there was no one there. I went back a few times over the course of the next few hours, but still no one there. My phone calls were not returned until a few days later. The chick is a bit flaky, to be polite. The website looks great, but we all know how a website can be decieving.

This is a pretty late reply, but my wife and I tried the beachside couples message at the spa at Four Seasons in Maui and we loved it. You are actually in a private hut that is right along the beach, but it is very secluded and private. We had it in the evening around 8pm and it was very quiet and peaceful and having a massage along with the sounds of the waves was incredible...zzzzzz...

Kid74: We were thinking about doing this at around 4:30 pm. Would we still feel secluded?
