Maui help
I've been to Maui twice, most recently in 1998. I'll be staying at the Hyatt for at least two days as of now, and will be on Maui for a total of 3 1/2 days.
We get in on Friday afternoon and are likely leaving for Kauai on a Tuesday. I'd like some input on what we should add, places to eat or great bars to hit. I'll read the Revealed book, but thought I'd start here.
Things we'll do:
Road to Hana and hike to the top
Haleakala at night - just to see the shooting stars
An afternoon/evening in Lahina
An afternoon/evening in Whaler's Village
For food, we're kind of screwed in that we don't like seafood. Are there any great steak or Mexican joints to eat at?
The bar we liked the best in the past is Cheeseburgers in Paradise for the sunset. There has to be new places to have some cocktails and watch the sunset; are there any great ones on Kaanapali?
Thanks for any help folks.

We have been meaning to check "Manana Garage" mexican restaurant out on Maui <)
amigo, which has I recall received a favorable review from one of those Travel Channel shows:

On Kauai we disagree with Kauai Revealed's review and recommend Maria's Mexican Restaurant in Lihue.

We also liked Neide's Mexican Restaurant in Hanalei.

Mañana Garage is a good choice for an ecelectic south american fusion kind of meal. They have half price entrees between 5:30 and 6 pm, but they are in Kahului. If you want Mexican in Lahaina, I am growing fond of Cilantro Mexican Grill and their handmade tortillas.
On your Haleakala night a good choice for you might be Milagros in Pa`ia. Thre is a Ruth's Chris in Lahaina. I think most restaurants serve local grass, pineapple and lilikoi fed beef from Uluapalakua Ranch.
Hula Grill, Leilanis or Rusty Harpoos will all give you sunset cockatails at Whaler's Village.
