Marital Discord: Can We Find A Mutually Agreeable Vacation Location??

Why not split the vacation into two parts, a few days separate vacations followed by something together?
I've some friends who take individual vacations, and a vacation together each year, and I truly believe they've the best marriage of anyone I know.
I saw my grandfather totally devastated after my grandmothers passing ..they always did EVERYTHING together. Neither developed his/her own interests. He finally committed suicide. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, and it made me decide that there is such a thing as too much dependence on our mates.
