Oh? You were gone? Hadn't noticed.
Every day I'd grab the crutch and hobble out to the ol' mail box and check and see if our good ol' buddy would send us a simple post card.
Musta got lost in the mail?
166 for this Kahuna!
Welcome back, get to work!
Didn't Chicago look nice at the All Star game last night?
Dolciani,
The best vacation golf on Kauai is at Kukuilono up in Kalaheo. A public course.
Little nine holer...costs something like $7-10 with a cart.
Great views that almost rival The Prince but not as good as grass fairways.
Kiahuna Golf Course is also a good one for vacation golf as Mrs Kal survived it and would play there again.
Plus, afterwards an ice cold beer at Joe's on the Green can't be beat.

Imaz, have stayed in the Manualoha uts at Poipu Kai a number of time. Good value, nice location, a really pretty pool although the waters tad chilly in January (my husband would say I was a wimp for that comment!) The Manualoha renters also get a key to the Kahala pool at Poipu Kai which has a hot tub. Great location a very short walk to Brenneke Beach for boogie boarding and Poipu Beach Park. You might consider a big splurge and getting a day room at the Hyatt. You pay half the price of the lowest available room (still a bit spendy) and get a room and use of all of the resort facilities from 9 am to 6 pm. The pools are great and both the kids and the adults love them. A trip to KMart or Walmart in Lihue is a great place to pick up an inexpensive boogie board for the boys (or two, if your kids are like mine)or check with your condo rental to see if any come with the unit. Kmart also has the cheapest Myer's rum on the island- in case you are so inclined. We do our research. Also, Mondays at noon at the Koloa ball field , is a great farmer's mkt with lots of great produce and flowers. It's fun and busy. Come early with lots of one-dollar bills and be ready to do battle with the sunbirds who are ready to do their week's shopping. Aloha.
