So after both of my co-workers flaked on NYC....I am not that kinda guy. I am here. Going to Motorino with Adu on Wednesday and Aldea on July third.

Wondering where to go tonight of course and I am combing Adu's list above.

I am at 77th and 1st Ave...any suggestions for this neighborhood?

Thanks,

thereyet

Great recommends here to eat! I've been looking for a GREAT dim sum place in NYC, there are a few recommends here, but as MOHAN posted, best place probably is HONG KONG, but I found some great DIM SUM in San Francisco. Any "fairly decent" dim sum places in NYC????

Hi thereyet - I went to a place back in March that fits all your criteria - in Hells Kitchen, called eatery nyc:

The food was a very nice mix of new american and ethnic, and all very good.

Another place that I haven't been to, but highly recommended by my son & his partner is Westville - has locations in the West Village and the East Village.

One of the places that I've gone to from Aduchamp's list is Flea Market Cafe, and it's excellent.

thereyet - just saw this thread - you are literally in my backyard! Literally!! I like Spigolo for Italian on 2nd & 81st. For seafood, Atlantic Grill on 3rd (76 & 75th) is always good. Sushi of Gari is on 78th off 1st. Sedutto's ice cream on 1st (78 & 79) is great especially the mocha almond fudge. I can go on and on. How long are you going to be here?

We do not eat at Westville. The last time we ate there Mrs. Adu became quite sick.

If you want a quick and easy but crowded spot like Westville, try Curly's on 14th Street next to Artichoke Pizza.

How about light dinner before a Broadway show? Not Italian, Mexican or sushi...those bases are covered other nights. Under $30 a person would be helpful too. Thanks!
