Makawao fair in June
Hawaii Magazine this month mentioned a fair in Makawao June 7-9? (I need to doublecheck the dates.) I'm excited because I'll be on Maui during that time and love the Upcountry area. Has anyone been to this fair?

Yep -- always held on a weekend, so (again) Hawai`i Magazine has published erroneous information. Arrgghh! 
This is one of those slice-of-island-country-life events that lucky visitors get to experience along with the locals. Great fun!

Auntie,
It seems like we're missing everything. We'll be on Maui June 5-10 and then moving over to Kauai on June 11. SO we'll miss the Maui Movie Festival, King Kamehameha Day Parade in Lahaina, and now the fair. I think I'll regret the fair most of all. Oh well, I know we'll have a great time anyway.
