Is Maui crowded in June??

Hi,
We usually go in late Sept, but the option arose to go 2nd week of Jun. How are the crowds??? In late Sept, the charters were 1/2 empty and the restaurants were pretty easy to get into. Should I do obtain my reservations earlier than in the fall??
Thanks.
Frank

Im sure it is somewhat crowed,it is summer time in the states. book your activities on line before arrival. I used activity warehouse, they have a good web site and 1-800 number, there are many other activity agents besides mine.

I disagree with the above post. June is not a busy month in Maui. That would be especially true during the first half of June. I would't worry about making reservations earlier than in the fall.

In terms of crowds, June (at least until the schools close for the summer) should be very similar to September.

Actually, June will be considerably busier than September. Not only do families start heading to the islands for a summer vacation, but honeymooners are still in full-force from spring until early summer. I've been to Maui during several months of the year and while June isn't the worst, it certainly is more crowded than anytime in September. Hope that helps.
