Makawao fair in June
 

Hawaii Magazine this month mentioned a fair in Makawao June 7-9? (I need to doublecheck the dates.) I'm excited because I'll be on Maui during that time and love the Upcountry area. Has anyone been to this fair?

Not sure. The "official" site ( gohawaii.com ) says only

Yep -- always held on a weekend, so (again) Hawai`i Magazine has published erroneous information. Arrgghh! ((N))

This is one of those slice-of-island-country-life events that lucky visitors get to experience along with the locals. Great fun! ((H))

Auntie,
It seems like we're missing everything. We'll be on Maui June 5-10 and then moving over to Kauai on June 11. SO we'll miss the Maui Movie Festival, King Kamehameha Day Parade in Lahaina, and now the fair. I think I'll regret the fair most of all. Oh well, I know we'll have a great time anyway.

How funny, we will also be in Maui from June 5 through 10 this year.

Cool! Where will you be staying? Visiting any other islands? Maybe we'll see a few movie stars as they trickle in early for the film festival.
