Location of the Warwick Hotel...Midtown West?

Is the Warwick Hotel in Midtown West or something different? I've ordered my maps but need a quick geograpy lesson.
Thanks!

Hotel is at 65 W. 54th St. - this is midtown west. 5th Ave. is the dividing line for east/west. The hotel is just west of 5th Avenue - between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Hi Toni, I don't know what you've ordered for maps, and I'm sure they will be more than adequate, but if you get a chance, pick up a "Streetwise Manhattan" map. I know Boarders Books & Barnes & Nobel sell them, or you can order them on-line from B&N. They are about $6 each and they are GREAT! They show all the streets and bus routes, they are easy to read and they fold up to about 4x8. The city is easy to navigate, but does get trickier Downtown. Also, check your local library for the "Eyewitness Guide to New York City" - I can't recommend it enough. I have toured London, Paris, Rome & San Francisco with just the Streetwise map & the Eyewitness Guides they have almost everything you need to know in them. Have a wonderful trip and don't forget to post a trip report when you get back!

The Warwick is at the northeast corner of 54th St. and 6th Ave. (aka Avenue of the Americas).

Toni,
The last two posters are correct. First, you really only need one map of Manhattan like the Streetwise New York one. Forget all others.
Second, the Warwick is indeed on the NE corner of West 54th Street and 6th Avenue.

Yes, midtown west. Midtown East is better, in my opinion. Cleaner, nicer, better.

I prefer midtown west because it puts you right near or in Times Square. I like walking to the theatre. It is also near many subway stops.
