Littleton is a nice little town. Main Street has some nice shops. Go to Bishop's Ice Cream for desert. I've heard the restaurant at the Beal Inn is great, but havent been myself yet. The Oasis Restaurant is good (right on Main Street). If you're skiers, check out Lahout's Ski Shop. As for things to see, Franconia Notch is a few minutes south on I-93. You can take the Tram to the top of Cannon Mountain, and check out the New England Ski Musuem at the base of the lift.

If you want to eat in Littleton I would suggest Beal House or the Clam Shell. Great places to shop for clothes would be All that Jazz and the Elephants Trunk. Groceries and health food items including a pharmacy Shaws Grocery store. Great Main Street. I have not stayed at the Beal House but I have eaten there and the owners are so very nice. You will have a good time.
