Fernie or Kimberley

Hi,
I'll be traveling to b.c. with my family in November. We have our itenerary all planned except for 1 night. Should we spend it in Fernie or Kimberley? Which is a better town? Which is more scenic?
Thanks!

Without giving you a long rambling reply, my choice would be Fernie hands down! Terry

Fernie is very scenic; there is one main street with a few cute restaurants. I stayed at the Best Western on the highway which was new then, about 4 years ago. They were building a coffee shop a hundred feet away from the hotel. Aside from the highway strip and that main commercial street, there is not much else unless you would venture to the mountain resort; we had dinner there one night , the restaurant is amazing. Sorry I can't remember the name but I think there is only one upscale restaurant at the resort.

My son worked one winter at the ski lifts in Fernie so I spent 3 days there visiting him.

I would also recommend Fernie - fun, funky little town. If you like B&B's there are lots to choose from at the mountain.
