LAX to Burbank

Can anyone tell me how much it would cost for a cab to Burbank from LA Int Airport. We are only there one night, would it be cheaper to get a hotel near the airport, rather than stay with friends in Burbank and get a cab there and back, and if so any suggestions.
Thanks a lot
Sue

Are you opposed to driving? It would certainly be cheaper to rent a car for one day and drive than to take a cab both ways.

You can try
www.supershuttle.com
and request a fare quote.

Cab fare varies like crazy based on time of day as time spent sitting in traffic adds up quickly in the LA traffic!!!

You could take the shuttle from LAX to Union Station and Amtrak from Union Station to Burbank....however if there are two or more of you renting a car is probably about the same overall cost.

It's 30 miles from Burbank to LAX. Without traffic it will take you about 30-40 minutes. Depending when your flight is I would recommend staying near LAX. This drive can take upto 1 1/2 during traffic.

Thanks very much for your advice. Driving might not be a good idea as you guys drive on the wrong side of the road, and we don't have a clue where we are going. This is my husband's first trip to the US (we are from Oz) and I would hate the first day to be a disaster. Would anyone know a cheap but not nasty hotel near the airport/
Thanks again.
