Las Vegas In June

What is the weather like in Las Vegas the last week of June into early May? We are looking to go there for a week. Heat is not a problem it is humidity we can't take.

Thanks

Do you mean the last week of June into July?

Humidity is not a factor at all in Las Vegas. It is so hot you will melt away. I believe it gets into the high 90s or 100s consistently.

We went for a walk outside in the early morning through a state park, and the water in our bottles went from frozen solid to hot in about 10 minutes.

As far as temperatures, you can go to weather.com to look at Las Vegas' monthly averages.

As far as humidity: *ahem* Las Vegas is in a DESERT. I thought everyone knew that. VERY low humidity in the summer. Very hot. Great pool weather. Intense sun. Fun in the air-conditioned casinos!!

"Heat is not a problem ,it is the humidity we can't take"..that is exactly the way we feel! We have enjoyed our visits to Las Vegas a few times in August. The temps were in the hundreds, but felt comfortable. I think that May/June would be easy to take

Hot. Very Hot.

A couple of years ago (second week of July), for some stupid reason that I don't remember, we had to walk in the sun for like 20 minutes. It wasn't good. When you can feel the temperature of the sidewalk through your shoes, you know that it is too hot. It is great pool weather, if you happen to be next to a pool.

there may be no humidity but I wouldn't describe the temps in late June or early July as "comfortable." Once it gets into the 100s, you can't really walk outside for too long without working up quite a sweat. Sitting at the pool is nice, although you will either have to spend most of the time in the water or you will be jumping into the water about every 10 minutes. I agree with the last poster- you can really feel the heat rising up from the sidewalk. Drink lots of water.

I just re-read my post-actually, the temps were a little over a hundred degrees but not in the "hundreds" although it might have felt like it.
We never had the 'sweat' problem as it is so dry in the summer that you evaporate! It might be why it is so dangerous, you don't really feel the heat until you are ready for heat stroke, but we still find the weather tolerable in the summer.

I was in Vegas last June 21-26, and it was about 110 degrees all the time we were there. We did not do any walking outside during the day, instead sat by the pool and enjoyed that.

June and July is a very hot time in Vegas. It can be 90 degrees outside at midnight (it's kinda neat if your from a cool climate) Definately wear thick shoes for walking out side (the bottoms of your feet can burn through thin soled shoes) and plan on making alot of pit stops in the casinos to cool off as you walk down the strip. I recommend getting a yard long frozen margarta to carry along with you!! (helps cool ya down!!) Sometimes during these months the casinos are very cold, if you plan on sitting at a machine or table for an extened amount of time in your shorts/sundress ect. I do recommend a LIGHT sweater, I have frozen my you know what off in a casino just to go out side to melt!!! Have fun!! Bring lots of deoderant!
