We have a group of ladies going to Las Vegas over Mother's Day weekend for a bachelorette party. I've heard rumors about some "Mother's Day Special" hotel rates being offered, but haven't been able to find them anywhere. Can anyone offer tips on where to find them or any other hotel/conference/special promo codes we can use? We'll need two rooms and would like to stay center Strip. We don't want to spend more than $150/night (less, if possible) and would like a 4 star or better.

I just did a search for Mom's day weekend and there were center strip hotels under your 150 night, NYNY (135), Flamingo (99), Bally's (139), Treasure Island (129) Harrahs (122)and Alladin (149) It was through expedia and they were prepay rooms, but if you know you are going, lock them in. They looked like good rates for a weekend.

I had received a card from Treasure Island for a $99 rate weekend rate, but don't remember the code. But the above rates look good.

Quikbook.com had flamingo at $94 a night for that weekend. Also a prepay, but it's a good location on the Strip and they have a great pool.

I would check Park Place Entertainment (Bally, Paris,) website to see if they have any specials listed.

For what it's worth, rates such as $135 at NYNY, $140 at Bally's and $122 at Harrah's are not very competitive.
For a shoulder season month like May, those rates signify that the hotels expect to sell out, and that people will pay higher than normal rates as a result.
If you have to go on a specific weekend, and it's a busy weekend (holiday, big conventions in town, boxing match in town etc) you are at the mercy of the hotels. Nothing you can do about that.
But NYNY is not worth $135.
It's just bad timing for BrendaC.

Treasure Island has rate of $135 on the website for Fri/Sat and $65 for Sunday.

Thanks so much for the responses! The ladies have now narrowed it down to the Mirage (for the pool) or the Venetian (for the Venetian). If anyone has any tips on how we can get a better rate for the surprisingly busy weekend, I'd really appreciate it!

depends also on if you're gambling. if you are, ask what the player rate is for that night, and you'll get a discounted rate. it means, however that you have to gamble at the hotel for a minimum number of hours. for example i play poker, so i get a player rate of $189 for a sat. nite when the regular rate is 289. i have to play poker for a minimum of 4 hours, which is no problem for me. Sunday, May 11 mandalay bay is $99 per night, the saturday is 229.
So that works out to be $82 per person per night. if you were to stay the sunday and monday (skipping the expensive sat night) it works out to be $65 per person per night. Of course if your group includes multiples of 3 it would be even cheaper.

Forget the Mirage, it isn't worth it! The Venetian is wonderful!
