LAS VEGAS Hotel - About room availability and Promotions

For the past week I've been checking Bellagio's website for room availability on the days we're planning on staying in Vegas, and consistently they only show anything from a Salone Suite and Up available.... but Expedia was showing Deluxe Lakeview rooms available.

I even called the Bellagio reservations desk a couple days ago and they told me the least expensive room available was a Salone Suite at $525/night.

Now, Expedia is not showing deluxe lake view available on our dates, but the Bellagio website seems to have opened up to show availability of all room levels.

What's up with that?

Also, do Strip hotels ever have promotional rates on Fri/Sat nights?

Yes, they do have promotional rates for Fri and Sat, but doubtfully ever as low as adjoing week nights. I had just booked Mirage for a Sat, Sun, and Mon in August for $169 on Sat, and $69 on the other nights, but now have booked Aladdin at $119, $ 49, and $49.

In July and August, and then maybe just before Christmas.

We once paid something like $89 at the Bellagio for both Friday and Saturday nights. Does it count that it was the third week of September in 2001 and we had previously booked them at something like $389?
