Bellagio -- Las Vegas - Discounts
Several have mentioned the lack of finding good deals recently in Las Vegas. I just got a notice of a special at Bellagio for the summer -- May 24 through September 7.
Sun through Thurs. (is that surprising?) $149 a night for deluxe room WITH complimentary upgrade to lakeview room. $ 149. Specials on suites too.
Call and use the discount code: D149DM or book online at bellagio.com/D149DM
Needless to say weekend specials continue to be elusive.

I get notices of all the "specials" at all the Vegas hotels throughtout the year. While some are really good don't be surprised if your date is not one of the "special" days, I have noticed that more and more advertise $99 (or some such rate) but really when you look at the calendar of rates there are only a few at that rate, the rest are considerably higher.
Remember if you are a Auto Club member you can get a 10% discount at most hotels if it is NOT a special rate. They won't discount a promotional rate.
I'd also recommend checking your room rate regularly, they occasionally go down. If that happens call the hotel immediately and request it.

Intrepid, I was assuming the "premium view" from the Mirage included the scantily clad girls of the Sirens show. Yawn.
Lori, you have a good point. We had a Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night open between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Since we can get flights linking those two via Las Vegas for less than the three days car rental and gas it would take to drive between those two cities, we decided to do Vegas again. But the special I mentioned above at Bellagio was blocked out our dates -- virtually the only dates that were blocked out though oddly enough. And there was no special for Saturday. That's why we went with the Mirage -- no complaints paying a total of $367 for the three nights, since we have to pay $169 for the Saturday night.

If you don't have a player's card, be sure and get one. And then use it...even if for just a few dollars' play.
I'm not a big spender ($20 in slots)but I get offers from the casinos because I played. Example: Bellago for $99/night during June/July/August.
Good luck!
