Funny Travel Stories

It's time to bring back an old favorite topic to (hopefully) give us a good chuckle... I'll start with one of my favorite travel stories...

My college friends had spread out across the country and all had been married for under 3 years when we got a call from our old pal "Party Bill". Bill was organizing a buddies reunion in Miami with a football game, plenty of drinking, old stories, and a day long gambling cruise.

Eager to see the Boys and despite my new wife's recollections of the troubles caused by Baaaad Boy "Party Bill", I quickly confirmed along with eleven others, all in our mid-twenties, all married...

Everything went well during the trip until Bill began filling us in on the way to the ship dock for the Gambling Cruise...

"Boys, old Billy has done it again!!! I've booked us all on a 20 hour SINGLES CRUISE!"

Since we had all prepaid and were minutes away from the port, there was no backing out and Bill took a harsh verbal hit from many of the husbands, especially those concerned about their new wives finding out...

When we entered the port terminal, there was great confusion about where to check-in and the information booth seemed lost when it came to the Singles Cruise...

Just then an announcement came over the PA system that clarified the entire situation...

"Passengers traveling on the day long SENIORS CRUISE should report to pier 111"

Needless to say, Party Bill has been retired by both the Boys and their wives, I enjoyed the soft food at the buffet, and my wife still asks me about my new girl, the 89-year-young "Millie"... I took pictures!

Here's a true, recent story.

We were on a cruise in April, and one of the sea days was kind of rough. I was walking down a corridor, and ahead of me was a woman who was having a very hard time keeping her balance, holding on to the banister. I jokingly asked her if she was having trouble getting her sea legs. She responded with "I actually have two artificial legs"! I was mortified, but she didn't mind a bit.
