You can find the hotel list on biddingfortravel.com. But recent winning bids for 4* DT are usually the Emily Morgan and the Westin Riverwalk.
The Emily Morgan is not directly on the river, but adjacent to the Alamo, short walk from the Riverwalk.
Winning bids are all over the place. Most around $85-90. One is $140!

The Emily is actually quite a nice property with a good restaurant, and the Westin is fairly new and also nice for a chain. If you get either one, go for it. The $140 price is not a surprise, as the hotel business has been quite brisk in San Antonio this last year.

One 4* near and dear to my heart ran 90% occupancy last July!
90% is unheard of any month, let alone July in SA!! Yes, business is absolutely booming. I peek at BFT often just to see what's going on and rarely see winning 4* bids now for anything but the Emily Morgan.

We stayed at The Emily Morgan 2-3 yrs ago and found it to be very nice and just the right distance away from the Riverwalk.
We had a large room, big jacuzzi tub and it over looked The Alamo.
Awesome at night.
Plus, it's haunted!
