I have just now ran across your update. That is really cool. I hate we didn't eat there while we were in town.
We ate both nights at the hotel, and the food and service were fantastic.
Also a treat to just walk up to our room.
We will be going back there. I told them when we checked out, that it was like staying with friends.
We felt totally at home and relaxed.
They went out of their way on saturday night. They served our dinner in "The Parlour" so we could watch The Breeder's Cup horse races on tv.
I think it will be our annual anniversary trip.
It was great meeting you and putting a face with Starrs!
You post a lot of good advice and it is appreciated.
Maybe we will be in Clayton the same weekend again.

I'm so glad the food is still as good at the LRH and you are right - nothing better than being walk up stairs instead of driving after dinner! I'm glad the new owners have done such a great job with the place. I used to go for NYEve and it was a wonderful way to bring in the new year.
It was very nice meeting y'all too. I hope we are up at the same time next time. TimeHop reminded me this morning that two years ago today I got to see two Fodorites and their families in the mountains and tomorrow I'm meeting up with one of them. It would be fun if we are all up at the same time next time. I'll have a GTG at the cabin.
